An initial consultation will allow the bride & Groom a viewing only. Once the couple has confirmed booking, another meeting will allow us to assess individual needs & preferences for your the wedding day.

On further consultation we provide table mock-ups of the décor and the bride & Groom are able to book a tasting of the menu should they prefer.

We take pride in every wedding or function we oversee. For your convenience the business is situated in Montagu, Western Cape. Although Cabrières estate is our home venue; we deliver the above services in the Overberg, Breederiver Valley and Garden Route, Ceres and Tulbagh area as well.

This unique venue situated in Montagu on R62 named after the small village of Cabrières d’Avignon in the south of France dates back to the 1800’s. It is situated on route to the beautiful Keisie and Koo Pass, overlooking the vines edged by the majestic ‘Groot Hoek’ Mountain range in the Western Cape, South Africa. It is a beautiful wine making cellar with heavy oregan pine ceiling.

Intriguing tales about the colorful history of Montagu and its surrounds is yours to discover when you visit. In fact, old vinification and fermentation tanks are still partly scene and form part of the magical ambience of this wedding venue.
In 2008 Jean-Pierre Jordaan and his wife Jane Chambers started the restoration process of the building that now serves as the venue after a generation of dormancy.

Jane & her sister as well as business partner, Cecile Joubert have lovingly refurbished the charming old Jordaan-family cellar adding space and style to its former glory, and creating an oasis where history meets luxury and comfort as well as magic. Their care and passion for this incredible place is reflected in every creation of every function and wedding.

Thus Cabrières was born…
